Painting Finished

Painters were at the house all day today doing the final coat. They've done an absolutely fantastic job and very professional. Colour doesn't come out too well on the photos but I think it looks great inside. The front door and paneling above the garage have come out brilliantly.

First Colour Coat

First coat of wall colour has been put on through most of the house. Doors have been stained Merbau. Pretty sure there's still a couple more coats to do on the stain and I hope the front door frame gets a bit darker. The wall colour is Siren's Call.

First Coat Inside - New Handover Date

Well that excitement was short lived. Carpet layer booked out apparently so new handover will be the 27th.

First coat of paint throughout the house today.

External Painting

Had a meeting with the site supervisor this morning which went well. Everything inside looks great. Got given a handover date of the 22nd of July. Painting should be finished next Tuesday and then plumbers and electricians will finish their fitout before the tilers return for the main flooring.

The painters also asked if I would like to have the paneling above the garage to be stained close to the door colour. We had selected Colorbond Basalt at the colours appointment because we were told they wouldn't be able to stain it. It won't be a perfect match but it'll look much better than Basalt.

Eaves and downpipes painted today.

Painting Started

Various odds and ends completed through the week. Carpenters finished off architraves and kitchen bulkhead etc. Tilers finished off the grouting. Painting has started today.

Doors, Skirting and Architraves

All doors, skirting and architraves installed today. Locked out so no inside photos. I asked for a Merbau stained front door and they've put in a Merbau veneer door with a Maple frame. Hopefully the painter makes it look good and it's not left how it is now.

Porch and Wet Area Tiling

Had a look on the way home and there were a few guys there still working on the tiling. Porch, splashback, bathroom, ensuite and laundry tiling were done. They were still working in the showers so didn't get any photos of that, plus it's so dark so early so any photos I do have came out crap.
