Slab Poured

Happy days today. Slab has been poured! They probably would've finished around midday but it rained quite heavy from 1-2pm so I don't know what impact that might have had.

Waffle Pods

Preparation for the slab was complete today with the placement of the waffle pods and reo. Ready for a pour tomorrow but rain is expected so hopefully it can hold out.

Slab Formwork

Slab has been formed up and a start on some reo. Waffle pods were delivered the day before.

Plumbing

Slab plumbing was all done today.
 

Piering

Got a call today from the office saying that my slab was poured and the first invoice is now due. Obviously a misunderstanding since it was only cut yesterday. Not long after that I got a call from the site supervisor saying the piers were being poured and I should head out to get measurements.

Got there as they were about half way through being drilled. Spoke to the concreter and he said the house next door (which is also an Allworth) measured out to 50LM so mine should be the same. I left them to it. My allowance was for 40LM. Went back in the afternoon and they've all been poured. Also now have a fence (made into one big block with next door) and a toilet.

Site Cut and Fill

A surprise was found when driving past the block today. We are only 10 days into our 20 day working period and they have just done the cut and fill. Going to have to figure out what to do with the cut down the side. Going to need some retaining.
