Bricks Progress

Been away for work all week and missed the bricks starting. I'm assuming they started on Wednesday. One full wall is done and part of the rear wall. Two courses done around the whole house and termite layer is down. Also included a photo of the view from our porch. There's a nice park across the road and the open space will never be built on.

Internal Plumbing

All the water and gas lines were run today. I got a very nasty shock to find they have put the hot water system smack bang in the middle of the wall in the backyard. Every single plan I have received shows it to be located on the side of the house on the Laundry wall. I pulled them up on it and was told that Rheem no longer make a gas boosted solar hot water system that has the gas booster piggy backed to the tank. The amount of wall space needed for the new unit is 2m and the Laundry wall was only 1910. I understand there's nothing that can be done about it but I am very unhappy about it. 

Bricks Delivered

Bricks have been delivered today. They should be starting end of next week or after the long weekend if the weather holds off.

Roof Finished

Roof Progress

Rain halted play today but they got most of the roof done. Just the front section and all the ridge capping to go.

Roof Started

Roof has been started today with all the battens installed, valley gutters installed and one section of roofing placed.

Gutters and Fence

Another slow week with hardly anything happening. Not sure what is going on. Gutters were installed today. My neighbour also put up the fence between us which looks good.

Frames and Trusses

Not much has happened in the last 2 weeks from the slab being poured. External plumbing was completed before Easter but that was it. Frames were delivered on Tuesday the 29th and then nothing all week. To my surprise the full frame, trusses and windows were put up today. There's still a bit more work to do to finish off the roof but very impressed with how much they got done today. Hopefully the wood full of knots and rot will be replaced.
