I had all the yard down the side and back of the house excavated and graded ready for turfing. No idea when I'm going to get the turf sorted out though.
I had a deck built in the alfresco by a local guy in the estate. Just have to wait a couple of months to stain it but we actually quite like the look of the wood as it is now.
Fences and retaining walls started last week. Fence will be finished off tomorrow.
Blinds from Accent Blinds have all be installed except for one venetian in the main bedroom which was unfortunately made as the wrong size. Timber venetians in the main bedroom, blockout rollers throughout the living area, viewscreen rollers in the bedrooms and a blockout panel glide on the alfresco slider.
Finally the driveway was poured yesterday.
Looking great Sanc. Can I ask where did you get the living room blinds. They look good.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say this was a great blog and we drew inspiration from your colours. Can I ask you something re NBN? I note Allworth only ran wires to the side of the house. Is it. Own up to Telstra to connect this all up?
ReplyDeleteHi Andrew. Happy that my blog has provided you some insight for your own build. We've been living in the house now for quite some time and cannot fault it at all, Allworth really did do a great job. For the NBN Allworth should have provided a conduit between an internal location and the outside wall, as well as a conduit from the outside wall underground to the nearest pit. When you order your service for the first time NBN will charge you $300 for the installation and they will then come and run the wires into the house and install the necessary equipment.
DeleteYour house looks great! Could you please let me know what's the color of the concrete drive way and the B&D windows? Thanks!
